Q: What is the active ingredient in Babyganics Alcohol Free Foaming Hand Sanitizer?

A: Our alcohol free hand sanitizers use a germ killing ingredient called benzalkonium (ben-zal-koh-nee-uhm) chloride.

We made very sure, before we decided to include it,
that it had a long standing record and approval for safety and effectiveness for antibacterial purposes.

We use .1% which makes our hand sanitizers very effective in reducing bacteria on skin, but still very gentle.

Q : Why are Babyganics hand sanitizers alcohol free?

A: It’s all part of our baby-safe mission.
We use benzalkonium chloride at .1% versus a minimum of 62% alcohol in other hand sanitizers to effectively remove illness causing germs.

Benzalkonium chloride works effectively in small concentrations, and unlike alcohol it has a residual effect.
That means the more you use it the longer the protection you get.

We’ve made a conscious effort to exclude alcohol from our hand sanitizers for several reasons.
The active ingredient in our hand sanitizer has distinct advantages over gelled alcohol based hand sanitizers.

First, it’s non-flammable.
Second, it’s also less drying to skin.
Third, it doesn’t stain clothing.

The active ingredient in our product has been proven to kill 99.99% of germs in just 15 seconds.
That said, hand sanitizers should never replace washing hands with soap and water.

Q: Does Babyganics Alcohol Free Foaming Hand Sanitizer leave a sticky film on your hands?

A: Nope.
