This idea produce the thought that draw Maki-e on pen. This is the Industrial Revolution of writing tool world. Maki-e have more than 1,500 years history, exactly match with the word "traditional". However sophisticated and delicate technique is needed, so it can't be completed in a short time. Truly, this is the art put traditional soul of Japan. Maki-e fountain pen is exactly beautiful, but dignified existence at the same. "Maki-e", there are many elegance pictures. However also there is the existence standing silently. "Kawari nuri Ishi-me" is the one.




What's "Kawari nuri" ?

"Kawari nuri" is one of the technique used for making Maki-e. To use various items or colorful Urushi (Japanese lacquer), this is the origin of name. In this pen, grain of Urushi are used for expressing one of the rock. To gather rocks - it become paving. Color - there are 4 roads, all are not brilliant but calm.




"Ishi-me" - How far does this road lead to?
