Tieguanyin tea is a kind of oolong tea produced in Anxi, Fujian province, China. Here the shown tieguanyin tea is charcoal roast tieguanyin tea, it adds a charcoal roast process compared to other tieguanyin tea. The tea has a special sweet after taste. It has a strong fire fragrance. 

The processing of this charcoal roast tieguanyin tea is complex and requires expertise when compared with the regular fresh-scent (lightly baked) tieguanyin. The fresh-scent type needs to be roasted slowly over charcoal fire ( 100℃) for about 3 hours to produce the baked type. By this way the resulting tieguanyin liquor is clear, golden yellow with some light red hues. A hint of flowers sweetness and baked notes can be detectable in the first brewing which creates a smooth, full-bodied mouthfeel. The following brewing is very clear and the baked notes become more distinct. The 3rd brewing tends to be more floral with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Even after 5 brewing this tea still can create a spectrum of pleasant flavors in your oral cavity, without being overwhelming or bitter.

Choose a gaiwan, use 5-8g tea, boiled water aound 100℃, 5 steeps : rinse, 25s, 40s, 55s, 70s, 85s.
