Customer reviews from Japan:

It may be better than genuine 270 EXII

External strobe is for beginners. This time, I used it in KissX 3. About 150 shots taken in half a day (some without a strobe). Most of them were taken at TTL. I thought that it was somewhat dark in the confirmation image I took it manually. Because it was the first external strobe, I was a bit awkward in dimming, but I could shoot a couple of shots and well taken as bright as I thought. It seems that we can still take a picture with dry batteries this time. I could shoot continuously without feeling the time lag of charge time. Also, since I may shoot as much as I can, I will try how much shoot can be taken. E-TTL, manual, multi shooting can be done, bounce shooting is also possible, so I think that I can recommend it for beginners and those who are suffering from strobes. With the same GN 27 as the original 270 EX, I think that the range of use will be expanded for manual, multi-flash at the strobe side. Also, the price difference is big. After that, I wish had a Japanese notation in the manual, is not that a neighborhood luxurious? I also own KissX 7i and I will also try shooting here.

Functionally it is good

Functionally, it is enough to consider the price. Although it seems that the picture can fly without being able to control it in too close place. It seemed that the thickness of the mounting part was too thick, so it could not be installed as it was. We made it possible to use by scraping off the part hitting the shoe. It may be an individual difference.

Sufficient performance with this compactness!

In genuine products, I think that it is really good because there is nothing in this size that can perform manual dimming. Although TTL can be used, it seems that there is no function of high-speed synchro, so it is attention only there. Easy TTL strobe, manual slave strobe etc. It seems to be a big success. For those who do not need the TTL function for Canon, things of ordinary manual strobe are out, so we recommend that. It is a product called JY-610II. I also use it for slave strobe, but I think that it is a very good and easy to use product.

I want to put one in the back

It is very compact and it is comfortable to have two AA batteries. I think that it is the most affordable among strobes corresponding to TTL. The diffuser can be used exactly for the 270 EX.
