Shown here is what you should expect to see when you receive your bottle of our pure essential oil. The bottle is sealed and can only be only opened by breaking a security seal (can be seen from picture above). Once the external turn-screw cover is opened, you will find another stopper (silicone rubber plug) that is capped on pretty tightly to prevent leakage during transportation. There may be some remnant essential oils there due to the manual filling process.  Do not be alarmed to see the bottle only half filled. It is by design - the bottle has a capacity of 100mL to hold the 50mL of essential oil. The extra space is to cater for content expansion during transportation, thus reducing incidents of leakages during  delivery.

Please take note that there is no dropper provided in our bottle. With a dropper, it cannot be tightly sealed and will in most cases cause leakages during postal process. To this, we recommend a simple solution of using a small short straw (those commonly used for Yakult/Vitagen) to extract the exact number of drops of essential oil for your application.

If you prefer using a separate external dropper, please click here for our disposable droppers that comes in a set of 4 droppers and an additional free dropper to cover any damaged dropper during delivery.

From customers' feedback, we understand that some found it a challenge to open the stopper (silicone rubber plug). We recommend using a big pair of scissors to assist in opening the stopper/plug as shown in the picture on the right. Slowly pry open the stopper/plug bit by bit using both blades of the scissor on both sides of the stopper/plug. There should not be too much force required. The stopper will pop up in no time.

If you prefer to pour directly from the bottle, there is no need to remove the stopper cap. Instead, poke 1 small hole in the stopper cap using a chopstick or any sharp object and you should be able to pour out the essential oil in drops easily without spillage as shown.

Do understand that you may find kinks or small dents on the bottles when you receive them. The bottles protect the contents they hold within and thus are designed to take minor abuses in package handling and postal delivery. Rest be assured that the contents are intact and not exposed.

In rare cases do they fail in their purpose. When it does happen, just drop us a message with some pictures and we will be more than happy to send you a replacement bottle. We will always respond back to our customers to sort things out.

Q1. Why offer such good wholesale pricing?

By operating our business online, we save on rentals for a retail shop space and staff cost. We did away with costly fanciful bottling and packaging for practical aluminium bottles that offers the best protection for the essential oils within. We are thus able to lower of cost and pass these savings to our customers without compromising on service and quality. We believe in providing authentic essential oils at fair pricing that will be satisfactory to our customers.

Q2. How pure are the essential oils? What grade are they?
The essential oils sold in our online shop are just what they are - pure natural unadulterated essential oils. They are not fragrance oil or essential oils concentrate. Please do not mix them up. They come as naturally as they were extracted from their raw ingredients.

As to what grade our essential oils belong to? Grade A, B, C or therapeutic grade? We'd love to say they are therapeutic grade but in reality, there is no governmental regulating body that grades or certifies essential oils as "A B or C" or "therapeutic grade" or "aromatherapy grade.".

Q3. Why do you pack them in aluminum bottles instead of glass?
The proper way of storing essential oils is to keep them away from exposure to light. As they are pure natural oils, they will turn rancid or degrade very fast when exposed to light. As such, the best way is to use aluminium bottles to store them. This will best preserve their freshness for delivery to our customers. Aluminium bottles are capped to prevent leakage problems and provide adequate protection from harsh handling during shipping.

Q4. Can your essential oils be applied directly on the skin?
Most pure essential oils cannot be used undiluted directly on the skin. They should be diluted properly with carrier oils before use. Lavender and Tea Tree are both generally recognised as safe to apply undiluted directly on the skin. But there are exceptions to the rule.

Q5. Will your essential oils smell the same as others?
The only time essential oils can smell the same is if they were extracted in the same factory with the same batch of raw materials havested in the same period. Most essential oils from different brands will smell slightly different from each other due to different source and batches of raw materials and extraction processes in different countries. The core characteristics should not deviate too much. It can be more spicy (camphorous), less flora or sweeter, but they should never be totally different

On top of this, there are different species of the same plant family to consider. For example, the same plant family Lavandula (Lavender) has more than 30 different species. Citronella is a specie from the Cymbopogon (Lemon Grass) family and thus exhibit some familiar characteristic scent of Lemon Grass. To complicate matters more, the same specie grown on different soils at different times of the year will also have their own uniqueness in tone and depth in their scent.

Kindly do not have the expectation that essential oils of the same name should all smell exactly the same (whether you purchase from us or other sellers).

Q6. What is the proper way to test smell a new bottle of essential oil?
Never smell essential oil directly from a bottle because you will just get the top note. These are the light and volatile constituents that have evaporated and stay at the top of the bottle. The true essences will be in the rest of the bottle. The proper way is to gently rotate the bottle and place a drop or two on a scent testing strip, paper towel, cotton ball or tissue paper. Again, don't smell directly, instead, gently wave it about two/three inches away from the nose. Slowly take a whiff. The smell should be very characteristic of the essential oil that you are testing and should not be overwhelming.

Q7. What is the best way to diffuse essential oils?
The easiest way of diffusing essential oils is simply using reed sticks/diffusers, dropping them on cotton balls, tissue paper, dried flowers or potpourri. If you want a more convenient and hassle free method, a fan diffuser is your best choice. It diffuses by aided air flow from a high quality fan to enhance the evaporation of essential oils and distributing the scent into the air and surrounding area. No heat or candle is used that might damage beneficiat constituents of the essential oils. The fan diffuser that we introduced below is designed for continuous operations with minimal intervention. Q8. How come this new bottle smells different from the last bottle I bought?
This Q&A applies to essential oils purchased from us or other sellers.

Most will not notice the difference but some of you may have experience it before. It is more obvious and apparent if you are using reed diffusers due to the larger volume of essential oil and longer time duration involved. Nevertheless, it still applies to everyone as high notes constituents do evaporate faster and escape everytime we open the bottles to drop the oils.

As an essential oil evaporates and diffuses into the air around us, each individual constituents within it does so at different rate. First the high notes followed by the middle notes and then the lower notes. The overall scent will slowly change over time during diffusion as these volatile constituents evaporate and scent the air around us. The original smell may or may not be present towards the tail end.

If you are using a burner with a few drops of essential oil, we are talking about the scent changing through an hour or so. If you are using reed diffusers, it may be over a few weeks to a month depending on the volume of oil used.

So naturally, when you open a new bottle of essential oil and start comparing the scent to an older bottle, there is going to be some differences in their scent. With the new bottle, all of the oil constituents are intact while the older bottle may be missing most of the high and middle notes towards the tail end of the diffusion process.

Hope this information is useful and benefit everyone with a better understanding in using essential oil and enhance appreciation of the subtle tone differences in the scent through the diffusion process.

Wholesale Price - Reed Sticks for Diffusion
Suitable for use in reed diffusers for both pure essential oil and fragrance oil

These reed sticks are 3mm in diameter and 200mm in length. They are made from high quality rattan material and precision cut to size. Every reed stick has up to 20 micro-channels to pull oil up from top to bottom through capillary action for diffusion and sending scent into the surrounding area. Most suitable for use with pure essential oils and fragrance oils. The reed sticks come in packs of 50 or 100 sticks.

Note:-
These are not bamboo sticks. They are authentic reed sticks made from high quality rattan. Bamboo sticks are not the same as reed sticks and are sometimes sold as disguised version of reed sticks. Bamboo sticks are far inferior in quality and performance when compared with reed sticks.

Can I use reed sticks/diffusers with pure essential oil?

Yes you can.
There is no need to dilute pure essential oils when using reed sticks/diffusers as long as good quality reed sticks that are made from high quality rattan are used.

We understand that there are a lot of information on the internet about the need to dilute essential oils with carrier oils like safflower or sweet almond oil or even using rubbing alcohol and vodka. It is not our intention to start a debate or debunk all the internet wisdom out there. Instead, we would just like to share with everyone on the results of numerous test and experiments we have done using our pure essential oils with our reed sticks. All of our pure essential oils diffused as intended when used with our reed sticks without any form of dilution.

What is the correct way to use reed sticks/diffusers?

Reed sticks/diffusers can last from weeks to months. It's not possible to precisely say how long as they are subject to factors like dust in the environment and quality of essential oils and reed sticks used.

Pour the pure essential oil into a bottle, then insert between 10 to 15 sticks to achieve a minimum satisfactory level of diffusion. Using too few sticks will almost certainly result in poor scent throw and distribution. Experiment with the number of sticks to suit personal preferences.

It is necessary to flip the reed sticks over the first time round to expose the soaked ends of the reed sticks to air. How do you know when to do this? Simply observe the pure essential oil wick up pass half the length of the stick, then turn the reed sticks over. It should normally take from 5 to 15 minutes for that to happen. The pure essential oil will then continue to wick up the sticks and scent the room. It is advisable to flip the reed sticks over once a week to renew and refresh the scent as well as extend the usage life of the reed sticks. Once you notice the scent diminishing over time, dispose the already clogged reed sticks and replace with new ones.
