This keyed child-proof sash lock is constructed of diecast zinc and comes finished in a white enamel finish. It features a 5/8 in. narrow keeper with 2 in. mounting hole center spacing on both the keeper and cam-action keyed locking latch. This sash lock can be used on vertical single and double hung sliding windows, as well as on horizontal sliding windows, and it can be installed on windows constructed of aluminum, wood and vinyl sash and frames. This child-proof designed lock can only be opened with the provided keys. Used for child-proofing sliding windows and for securing windows at high elevation. NOTE: The key does not turn when inserted into the keyhole. When the key is inserted into the keyhole, the thumbturn and cam is released allowing it to be rotated open, or rotated closed. To lock the device in the open or closed position, simply remove the key from the lock.
