I have tested it so far by spending 30-60 minutes in air temperatures down to 5 degrees Fahrenheit (-15 degrees Celsius) with wind chills down to -20 F (-29 C) and it is more than sufficient. My only wish is that I'd gotten it before this winter as it is more than enough to handle anything Ohio can throw at it. One thing I love about it is that the brown sherpa lining goes all through the interior of the hat, including the crown. This makes it incredibly warm for the price.
