Ingredients

Ascorbic Acid – This is Vitamin C, and is the most effective form of Vitamin C for brightening the skin. However it is also the form which is vulnerable to oxidisation. It’s recommended to keep these products protected from the sun, air and used within a short period of time.

Ascorbyl Palmitate –This is a fat/oil soluble form of Vitamin C, so it’s natural to see this within the ingredients list. This is a more stable form of Vit C than the water soluble form, which means it’s less likely to oxidise.

Tocopheryl Acetate – More commonly known as Vitamin E which is great for softening and hydrating the skin. I should point out that this can be an irritating ingredient for those with sensitive skin. So people who have sensitive skin should consider using this product less times a week.

Alpinia Katsumadai Seed Extract – This is extract from ginger, another product known for brightening skintone. It’s also filled with anti-oxidants, which is never a bad thing!

Two derivatives of Vitamin C within this little silver tube, and they both work at brightening the skin tone. It helps to slow the production of melanin which means it’ll prevent dark spots on the face. There are also claims it can also help reverse skin damage from over-exposure to the sun and  encourage collagen production.
