Waterproof, dust and scratch resistant
The Sony Xperia Z2 tablet has an impressive IP55/IP58 rating, which makes this slim and sleek tablet both waterproof and resistant to the tiniest dust particles. The display is made of a scratch resistant, durable tempered glass.
Just rinse it off
The waterproof Xperia Z2 tablet can easily handle a dip in the sink. In fact, you can take pictures with it while swimming in freshwater for up to 30 minutes, or even dive with it up to 1.5 m. Just remember that all the covers for the micro USB port, the micro SIM slot and the memory card slot must be firmly closed.
In compliance with IP55 and IP58, Xperia Z2 tablet is protected against the ingress of dust and is waterproof. Provided that all ports and covers are firmly closed, the tablet is (i) protected against low pressure jets of water from all practicable directions in compliance with IP55; and/or (ii) can be kept under 1.5 m of freshwater for up to 30 minutes in compliance with IP58. IP 55/58 – what does it mean? IP rating is a test certification to measure a device’s resistance levels to both dust and water. The first digit in the two-digit IP rating indicates the level of protection against solid objects, including tiny dust particles. The second digit indicates how resistant the device is to water.
Significantly improve battery life with Battery STAMINA Mode
Tablets and smartphones use a lot of power, even when you’re not actively using them. All those apps that you have on your tablet may still be running in the background, draining your battery.
