The comforter looks good and is fluffy, but yes, it is very light. No weight to it at all. The sheets are thin, but feel soft. The crazy thing about them is that they are so soft, that they slip off my son when he's sleeping. Every morning the comforter has slid off the sheets and onto the floor, and the pillows have slid right out of the cases! Nuts. I switched his sheets and this did not happen, so it must be the material of the set sheets. Also the "Shams" (actually they are pillow cases) are not as pictured. They are half Navy, half white, with a thin red stripe. FYI. Next time I will go back to buy a comforter set for the same price at TJMaxx or Marshalls. It's just too much work to take the sheets off, wash them, and refold everything back into the package. My son is only 9 so he doesn't care. I had to buy 6 twins sets. I was a bit surprised it looks different in person. I still really like it, but not total love it. The navy is really dark, like almost a light black navy blue. I was hoping for the bright navy. Plus the white section has dotted lines like pin stripes. The darker navy and the pin stripes just made me go from loving it ...to liking it. Once on the bed, it looks great. It's the typical soft texture, light weight affordable comforter. The sheets are white, with medium/light blue pin stripes. The sheets feel a bit sateen and a bit see through. When making the bed you know the sheets are not the highest quality. But once on the bed, and in the bed you can not tell by the feel. So I'm really happy because it's so affordable and the room is all done in nautical with small flags and rustic painted oars. I would recommend for kids room, spare bed room, beach house or other.
