My husband was against the idea of a black and white geometric pattern and even he grudgingly admitted that he liked it more than he should :) The fabric is soft feeling and silky looking. The comforter is warm and perfect for the winter or even fall. We got this for the guest room to make it inviting, while stunning / dramatic. And it is perfect for that. The only shortcoming I personally felt was I wish the comforter weighed a bit more. If you are like me, you like some weight covering you during cold nights. The blanket is warm but very light in weight.
