How Secure is Slate Lock ?

Slate Lock function as a regular padlock which can only be opened by scanning your fingerprint (Slate Lock V.2 also support unique PIN access - to accomodate users with dry hands; who are facing difficulties in recording or scanning their fingerprint). What happened if the battery is dead or someone tries to take out the battery – will the lock still function ?

By default Slate Lock will always be at “LOCK” position, which mean even though the battery is dead or some criminals tried to take out the battery, the padlock will still be in Safe “LOCK” position – which mean you no need to worry; just need to replace the battery & since your fingerprint data will still intact, just need to scan your fingerprint to UNLOCK again afterward. (it is advisable to replace the battery regularly every 2-3 months so that you no need to face the hassle of battery dead during usage - Slate Lock is using standard AAA batteries which are easy available).
