The 1.0mm MT Roller is a small, handheld microneedle derma roller that is gently rolled onto the skin to stimulate cell regeneration. When used on thinning areas of the scalp together with hair regrowth solutions, derma rollers are clinically-proven to improve hair regrowth.
This derma roller is easy-to-use and is also good for reducing wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, and hyperpigmentation. Please refer to the sections below for more details.

We'll let the numbers do the talking. Here's a snapshot of customer reviews for the 1.0mm MT Roller on Amazon:

A number of clinical studies have already established the derma roller's effectiveness in reducing scars, wrinkles, stretch marks and hyperpigmentation. A clinical study published in the International Journal of Trichology in July 2013 further demonstrated the derma roller's effectiveness on stimulating regrowth on the scalp. Below is the Abstract from the study. Key points are highlighted:

To use the derma roller on the scalp, face, or other parts of the skin, simply roll the derma roller horizontally across one small area about 10 times. Do this gently. Then, roll the derma roller vertically across the same area 10 times. Repeat this action diagonally over the same area if desired. It is recommended to use the derma roller before bedtime or in the evening to avoid exposure to sunlight right after use.
Here's a quick video from an actual user which demonstrates this simple procedure. In this case, she is using it for her face but the method is the same for the scalp. (Demonstration starts at 2:06)

Q. Will using the derma roller hurt?
The derma roller is meant to be used gently on the skin. When applied to the scalp, there is very minimal pain. When applied to other areas of the skin, such as the face, first-time users report a prickling, slightly painful sensation. However, most users adapt to this after a few applications and are able to continue using the derma roller without major issues.
Q. What are the needles made out of?
The needles are made out of medical grade stainless steel.
Q. How often should I use the derma roller?
Generally, it is recommended to use the derma roller about 1 to 3 times a week. Be sure to leave at least 24 hours between applications.
Q. Are there any side effects in using the derma roller?
Right after using the derma roller, skin tends to appear reddish but the colour returns to normal on its own within an hour or so. As the recommendation is to use the derma roller before bedtime, this should generally not be an issue.
Q. How do I clean my derma roller?
Dip the derma roller in isopropyl alcohol (also known as rubbing alcohol). This is widely available for around SGD 3 in pharmacies such as Watsons and Guardian. Allow the derma roller to air dry before placing it back into its case for storage.
