The Cape Backdraft Damper opens and closes with minimal airflow in either direction. It does not rust or require any maintenance. The Cape Backdraft Damper is silent, produces no metal clanging sounds, tested to UL723 standards and can be installed in horizontal or vertical ductwork. Suggested applications: Bathroom Exhaust ducts (stops the clanging sound during storms and cold air from coming in). Kitchen exhaust and or range Hoods, individual or trunk. Passive inlet to provide fresh air into the home.
