It aids in motor skill development (because you have to place the clothing pieces), emotional development (because the bears have different expressions), social skills (bc they have little outfits for sleeping, rain etc.). It's a great toy, and nice quality. It has captivated her narrative imagination in ways that an ordinary puzzle never does. I just have one major complaint: "Mommy" bear seems to be a 50s housewife. Example: my THREE year old says spontaneously "Mommy bear's legs are going to get cold. Where are her pants?" Because mommy's outfits are all mini skirts. Mommy also has no work or even "dressy" clothes (I'm a working mom, so I care about these things) even though Daddy has a smart suit.
