The Stinger Horseshoe is a further advancement of our top-selling Mustang Horseshoe design. Stinger is basically a Mustang with a ringer break and even heavier tips. We had so many requests for a Mustang with a ringer break that we eventually had to come out with this design. But we didn't want to leave it at just that, so we added some features that really enhanced this shoe! The rear thumb cleat is a bit different than that of Mustang, as it has more defined edges. The body of the shoe is a touch thinner and the edges all around are even more rounded than Mustang, making for a very smooth release. It is more of a turn shoe than a flip shoe. But for the flip pitchers who like a ringer break, you can't do much better than Stinger! Most players find that Stinger rotates fast for both the turn and the flip. Very little wrist action is needed to make it work right and that helps with alignment of the flight of the shoe. The Stinger has gone through a few name changes over the years but we've never changed the design because we got that right the first time! Other names you might hear for this shoe include "Tyson Swinger" and "Imperial Stinger." You can't go wrong with this horseshoe especially if you're graduating up from the backyard type shoe... No doubt, this will be a tremendous improvement! The Stinger, like all Thoroughbred Horseshoes, is designed to take a beating... daily use is expected! But if used only occasionally, a set of Stingers could last a lifetime!
