Customer reviews from Japan:

Mandatory for a bad battery D500?
I bought it because it can install two batteries than the need for vertical grip. I am satisfied with both operability and texture, but are it not too expensive compared to those for other models? Magnesium body, sealing, genuine sense of security, but seven times the price compared to inexpensive third party (as of the end of May 2017) It hurts on the purse and the wallet.

Emergency Long Shooting
Even without this there is no special problem in normal use Long shooting Safety sense with long exposure light Can be used AA batteries if it is Wells like insurance I get heavy D5 I want to see Cool AC power Also possible if you are a professional indoor shooter?

No, I regretted ah
If you look carefully at Amazon, genuine products (with small scratches) have been sold for less than 10,000 yen or 20,000 yen. Be careful. I am satisfied with the goods.

For those who have many opportunities to use vertical composition
Compared to D300S + MB - D10 combination, D500 + MB - D17 is lighter by 100 g so the burden on the shoulder and neck is considerably reduced. The MB-D17 has an Fn button beside the shutter button, so exposure compensation can be assigned. This makes it possible to compensate for exposure while keeping the vertical position as it is very useful (it can be assigned to anything other than exposure compensation by setting on the main unit side). Personally, I think that it was worth changing to D500 + MB - D17 even this alone. Since D300S had good battery holdings, we never used batteries in MB-D10 and used them, but since D500 seems to have a large battery consumption, there is a lot of functionality as the original "multi power battery pack" It seems to play. However, the price of over 40,000 yen does not feel like being too high as expected.

It is expensive, but it is useless because compatible items are not out ...
All the cameras we have purchased so far have used compatible battery grips. Interchangeable items are the same as genuine products and they are cheap and durable, so it is good, but as expected it was not yet on sale so I bought genuine. The price is very expensive, but genuine products have a sense of security because there is no mistake in material and durability. As for the D 500 anyway, since the battery decreases early, it is possible to shoot with a pack for the attached AA batteries when it is called of purchasing spare batteries as well as purchasing spare batteries, so buy it and have no loss I think. In my case I do not shoot in portrait in most cases, just because I am cool, I bought it forcibly and it was understood that I started to use batteries faster than usual, but as a result It is now supposed to be "Oh, I'm glad I could buy it" (laugh)
