They are great when is hot since they don't get too warm at night. I believe that people have an issue with cotton, percale sheets since they are used to microfiber (I can't stand those.) This tent to be less soft, but I love the percale cotton cooler feel. Same colors and same prices, same fabric, cotton/poly blend. But the discontinued line incorrectly stated the set as cotton, whereas this “new” line specifies that it is a blend. I am sure it is the same, and it was very highly reviewed. I needed sheets and was quite inexperienced and unknowledgeable about them. So the high reviews, convenience of online shopping and great return policy of Walmart led me this way. I got the Red Sedona Quatrefoil set, and was very pleased. Then I saw the Brown set was on sale for $16. It was so cheap I just had to try it… I swear the Red Sedona set feels softer to me. The Brown set is fine, though a little bit rougher. The few negative reviews made mention of this. However, this may be characteristic of percale sheets. But again, for the life of me, I swear the Red Sedona set feels softer. I wonder why. I wonder if perhaps there may be some quality control issues with this imported stuff. The sets are a great value. The colors are vibrant, the fit is generous, they wash great and don’t wrinkle (I guess because of the poly). They have an interesting stitching on the top sheet. But, the Red Sedona set does not have it. I bought a set for my girlfriend in her favorite color, blue. I almost regretted it, because she likes very fine stuff, but to my delight, she loves ‘em! Used for a year and they wash well, comes out with the same feel as when bought -slightly silky not scratchy; few minimal wrinkles. My mattress is standard and it is a very loose fit so should fit deep mattresses without a problem -have bought expensive sheets that state they fit deep mattresses and had to struggle to get them on my thin one. I am a little disappointed in the color, which is not the true blue pictured in the website. I will use them, but I should have bought white.
