Celebrating the tenth anniversary of Salomon's legendary powder board, the SickStick Hillside Project Snowboard carries the signature of backcountry slayer and pow-surfing extraordinaire Wolle Nyvelt. Residing under the towering peaks and glaciated terrain of Austria's Zillertal Valley, Wolle Nyvelt is no stranger to bringing his smooth style and creative outlook to waist-deep days in the trees and steep, untouched lines above treeline. Harnessing Wolle's extensive freeriding and board-shaping experience (check out his line of Aesmo pow surfers for reference), the SickStick Hillside Project features three distinctive shapes for each length offered in the line, each providing a distinctive flavor for different aspects of powder and freeride pursuits. The shortest 151-centimeter SickStick is the widest of the three, ensuring maximum float without the hefty turning radius of longer decks. This gives it an edge when you're dropping into tight sections of trees, carving up banked snake runs, and hitting low-angle terrain where a shorter board is inherently more playful. The 157-centimeter board is ideal for freeriding on everything from steeps to open bowls with its mid-wide directional shape. The 157-centimeter board floats like a dream, as it's carrying a 12-millimeters of taper to naturally keep the nose surfing above the fresh stuff. Delving into the longest of the three, the 162-centimeter deck is the big gun for the aggressive rider taking on the steepest terrain they can find. Salomon extended the effective edge of the 162-centimeter shape for increased stability when you're hauling at high speeds down steep terrain. All three boards are tapered directional in shape, with unique tail cut-outs for a funky-fresh look that not only turns head in the lift line, but adds functional float to your powder pursuits.
