The GAIN control has the characteristics of a clean tube amp and by fine turning it you can create a bold and smooth sound which resembles the sound of an amp with its volume cranked. The RC Booster, in addition to its GAIN control, also comes equipped with VOLUME, TREBLE, and BASS controls that allow you to contour your sound anyway you like.
