Mosquitoes enter the trap through the capture windows on the upper portion and the strong suction from the fan will draws them quickly into the capture net on the lower compartment. 1) Will the Mozzie Magnet be harmful to human and pets?
No. It is completely safe for humans, animals and the environment. It does not involve fogging, pesticides, bug zappers, repellents, citronella. Fogging, repellents, and coils, often involve the use of chemicals that have the potential to be dangerous for both humans and the environment. The Mozzie Magnet uses none of these chemicals methods in the control of mosquito populations. Unlike many other products, photocatalyst mozzie magnet is 100% environmentally friendly.
2) How high off the ground should I place the unit?
The mosquito trap can be placed, fixed, or hung, on any external object, wall, or ceiling in the area to be protected. The most efficient catches were at above 1m - 2.5m of the ground. You can hang it by the power cords or the other line. Many people have small children and pets and need to hang the unit head high.
3) Is the Mozzie Magnet noisy?
The only sound is from the built-in fan, which is equivalent to a computer fan.
4) How does it attract other insects?
It has been specifically designed to attract and control mosquitoes as well as the flying insects via the CO2, heat and UVA lamp, which is similar to human's breath. The UV lamp emits UVA rays with wavelength around 365nm which proved to be most effective in attracting insects.
5) How long do i operate trap for each day?
The Mozzie Magnet can be operated for about 8 - 10 hours daily. Alternatively, you may also set a timer to auto on/off the unit at specific time of the day.
6) How many traps should I buy for around my house?
This depends on the size of your premise. Generally we recommend 2 to 3 traps depending on the number and location of mosquito breeding areas on your premise.
