Magnetic strength depends on quality and thickness of:
- Ferrous Metal/Steel Quality and Type
Magnets would not work on most type of stainless steel. So test surface with any regular magnets before purchase to ensure it is ferrous metal
- Surface conditions
For sideways (eg metal wall) hanging, slightly coarse surface may sometimes be better in preventing hook magnets sliding as it has more friction than totally smooth surface.
For upside down hanging (eg. metal ceiling), totally smooth surface performs better as it has less gaps between magnet and metal
- Painted or Unpainted Surface
Raw or unpainted surface provides higher magnetic strength due to less gap between magnet and ferrous metal
Horizontal Pull Force up to 25kg (Parallel to the ground, eg. attach hook magnet to a metal ceiling it can hold a stable weight of up to 25kg)
Note: Magnet direct (upside down) pull force is strongest, Vertical (side ways) strength is significantly lower (may slide).
