Easy to Start
Step 1:Insert a 9V battery in the battery compartment of the cable tester.Press the drawer of the tray upword and pull it out.If necessary,use a flat screwdriver to pry the drawer out of the tray.
Step 2:Set the rotary switch of the cable tester all the way to the right to the"battery check"position.If this LED lights up strongly,then the battery is fine.If the LED only lights dimly,then the battery is low and should be replaced soon.
Step 3:Connect both ends of your cable to the cable tester and set the rotary switch to position1.With an intact cable,both the top(orange)as well as the lower(green) LEDs will light up.This means that pin 1 of the cable in the left socket is connected to pin 1 of the cable connector in the right socket.The same operation with other pins.
