How to Play the Guitar with a Pick?

Pinch the pick with thumb and index finger, and curl the other three fingers and make them slightly close to the guitar panel. When you play the guitar with a pick, please use the strength of fingers instead of the wrist.

How to sweep pick with a guitar pick?

Sweep picking needs a flexible wrist. The pick should move in a curve.

Ready to sweep pick:
Keep your wrist outwards to make a 45▲ oblique angle between the pick and the panel. Swing your hand up and down instead of rotating your wrist, so as to make the pick move in a straight line. Whatever you are playing single notes or sweeping pick, please keep a certain slope between the pick and the panel to prevent your picking getting stuck and flying during your play.

Notices:
When you play single notes or broken chords, it is advisable to release your wrist and make your fingers close to the pannel naturally instead of standing your pinky on the panel. Please don’t pinch the pick too tight or too loose. When you become sophisticated, you can change playing methods to create different kinds of melody.
