It is more like a light lotion than a shaving cream. If you are a wet shaver or method-type shaver, however, this product will be a disappointment. It is tolerable with a traditional DE razor if you shave in the shower, or at the sink if you use a pre-shave oil of some type and lots of moving hot water to keep your razor from clogging. Since I don't like to have product lying around and am too cheap to toss this somewhat expensive tube, I'm using what I would consider excessive amounts to shave with my 38C in the shower so it will disappear faster and I can use something else. Just a couple days to go before it's a less than satisfying memory. I had expected a more usable product, but at least now I know.Written by a customer while visiting BurtsBees.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)Reporttotally works for me4/26/2010Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews4/26/2010by dudei can't think offhand of any more fundamental reason to use natural products than to avoid putting corporate chemical brews into your bloodstream after you've exposed it by cutting your skin, in this case by shaving. what could be sweeter, then, than to use BB shave cream & aftershave and avoid the christmas rush? this stuff is great; it effectively lubricates for a smooth shave, it smells good, and it soothes the skin in its own right, even before you get to the aftershave. new users may need time to become accustomed to the lack of foam and volume we expect from traditional creams, but persistence and good sense will make the light shine; this stuff works & it's simply a better way to go when you're trying to take better care of yourself. thanks again, burt's bees.Written by a customer while visiting BurtsBees.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportNot a great shaving cream, but smells great12/7/2016Average rating:3out of5stars, based onreviews12/7/2016by Joe203Pros: Smells great moisturizes skin Cons: Get's hair and shaving cream gooped up in multi-blade razor. not great at helping to get a close shave I usually shave my face 1-2 days. The shaving cream smells great however, it easily clogs up my multi-blade razor and also doesn't help to get a close shave, cheap drugstore brands have worked better for me.Written by a customer while visiting BurtsBees.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportWith out a doubt the best ever!9/29/2009Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews9/29/2009by lpratt3I've been using this product for a few years now and I have to say it's by far the best shaving cream I've ever used. I "too" know shaving creams and a cream is NOT supposed to foam up. It does exactly as it says, it's a cream. I've used the leading Gels and foams since I was in high school (I'm 38) and I always had irritation. Once going to Burt's Bees that was a thing of the past. I've run out before and tried to go back to the gels and foams and paid the price dearly with my face. Don't settle for anything less than this product. Good going guys, keep up the great work.Written by a customer while visiting BurtsBees.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportSilky shave!4/19/2011Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews4/19/2011by BorolasiaAfter recently running low on toiletries,
