The aircraft that decorated the last of the Imperial Army Fighter Corps is the Five Type Fighter.
The water-cooled engine of the three-type fighter "Hayan" who was suffering from production delay and malfunction was replaced with a lightweight, highly reliable air-cooled H 112 engine and appeared in 1951.
Although the maximum speed was slightly lower than "Hayan", in addition to the high practicality of H 112, weight reduction of the airframe greatly improved flight performance and practicality such as rising power and turning ability.
We deployed an air battle equal to that of US military fighters such as P - 51 Mustang and Grumman F 6 F helcat, defending Japan 's sky until the end of the war.
