Determining dimensions in a picture is revolutionary. With a single laser distance measurement to the object, values are then calculated on the photo by moving the arrows to the extents of the desired item. This is accomplished using the touch screen or select and use the arrow keys on the keypad. It's your choice. When you are done, save the screen shot for future reference and download.
Need to measure an overhead sign, size of a structure, or how about a round object? Now you can from the safety of the ground. With a single laser measurement, you can determine the width, height, area, or even the diameter/circumference of an object. One measurement at a right angle to the object is all it takes.
Large touch screen for quick and intuitive operation. Using common gestures such as swipe and zoom with two fingers, all the functions are simply and easily accessible. Measurements can also be taken using the touch screen. This avoids unintentionally moving the Leica Disto D810 touch during the measurement.
Send measured values directly to the Disto Sketch App or supported 3rd party programs from additional developers. The D810 can also be set to send values in keypad mode allowing you to link/send values to supported hardware/software. All computers, phones, tablets, etc, must support Bluetooth Smart Ready 4 commonly found in Windows 8 Pro-based tablets, and newer generation iOS and Android devices.
The digital point finder with its 4X zoom and large color display makes targeting easier over long distances. The high resolution screen ensures a crystal clear image allowing you to measure perfectly, even in bright sunlight
The camera function in the Disto D810 Touch can be used to create pictures or take screen shots for recording purposes. These can then be downloaded to a computer via the USB interface. No details are lost and you've got job site photo documentation with measurements for reference.
Accuracy is important and sometimes critical. The range and accuracy of laser distance meters depends greatly on lighting conditions and the reflective properties of the target object. For Leica Geosystems, it is important that the performance of the device is maintained not only in the lab but even more so on everyday site tasks. Therefore, we worked with external experts to develop a global standard to test laser distance meters and allows comparisons to be made between devices. Instruments tested in accordance with ISO16331-1 achieve their promises.
Built into the Disto D810 is a rechargeable Li-ION battery for long life. There is no need to keep extra batteries laying around. The unit is charged via a standard USB cable and includes a universal adapter set. It can also be charged directly from your computer or most off the shelf USB charger adapters typically used with your phone or tablet.
