Jansal Valley® Fruitwood Bacon is made according to the old world tradition of smoking.  Slabs of prime, center cut pork bellies are wet cured in maple syrup and brown sugar for 2 to 3 hours and then smoked over New England wood chips for a total of 10 hours.

This product is Certified Humane®, which means the farmer must adhere to a myriad of high standards to receive this designation.  These standards include, but are not limited to, providing the pigs with sufficient wholesome and nutritious food and water that is appropriate for their species and age.  The pigs are also fed an all vegetarian diet.  

As well as being an antibiotic-free product, Jansal Valley® Fruitwood Smoked Bacon is uncured and both nitrate and nitrite free.  The farmer’s admirable product methods result in the best full-flavored bacon available.
