The Blue Crab is a great entry-level selfie drone for getting into Camera Drone Flying as it comes with all the great components and features that will have you up and flying in no time. With folding arms on the drone it makes it easy for transporting around. Just put the drone in your backpack and you can be flying around the park, indoors or outdoors in no time. Surprisingly agile, it really handles the great outdoors well and has proven to be a very stable flyer with built-in gyro stabilisation and G-sensor accelerometer app control.



Flight Performance

The Blue Crab does not have a conventional radio transmitter (remote controller). Required to install the JJRC app on your smartphone to pilot it. The app emulates the controls of a conventional Tx and you can fully operate the Blue Crab with the app. Without a Tx to carry around, flying becomes less complicated.



If you want some action there is the ability to do 3D flips easily. Depending on how fast you like flying, there are also three modes for different speed settings to adjust how fast you want it to be.

To help in taking selfies, the Blue Crab has headless mode which is essential if you want to point the camera at yourself and still pilot the drone properly. Piloting the Blue Crab to take selfies without headless mode would require advanced piloting skills.




The Blue Crab drone also comes with a HD 720P WiFi FPV camera, which is probably the most basic spec you should consider when shopping for an entry-level selfie drone. Anything less than that just doesn’t meet the cut. With its built-in WiFi FPV feature, you can see what the camera sees via the app letting you position and frame your shots.
