About Ipa-Nima

Since 1997, Ipa-Nimaand Christina Yu have been creating fashion accessories that elegantly fuse unique materials, vivid colourschemes and inventive ideas into every piece. With a focus on handbags and a design-first philosophy, Ipa-Nimatranslates fashion trends into edgy accessories steeped in soul. Dubbed a style icon in Vietnam for her natural flair for fashion, it may be difficult to believe that Hong Kong-born Christina Yu was once a practicing litigator. Moonlighting in the 90s as Fashion Editor for City Magazine, Christina spent her holidays on self-sponsored trips to fashion shows in Paris and Milan and evenings sifting through thousands of slides in search of new fashion trends.

It was love that first brought Christina to Hanoi in 1995, but the move soon emerged as her destiny. Impressed by the workmanship of local artisans, Christina began developing private label work for international designers, such as Shanghai Tang, G.O.D. and Anteprima. It wasn’t long before she decided that Vietnam was the ideal place for her to expand her own design vision. Thus, Ipa-Nimawas born, an accessories label renowned for its dramatic blend of rich textures and eccentric embellishments with a playful edge.

Having graced the pages of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar and Time, Ipa-Nimaaccessories appear in new press all the time. They are sold in select boutiques and exclusive department stores the world over. Prominent fans of Ipa-Nima include US Senator and Presidential candidate Hilary Rodham Clinton, Prince Andrew of the UK, HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Braxton, Yasmin  Le Bon, Rebecca Gayheart, Sherilyn Fenn, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Cate Blanchett, Jill Hennessy, Renee Flemming, Denish Rich, Kelly Osbourne, Bai Ling, Michelle Yeoh, Maggie Cheung and Faye Wong.
