B vitamins are crucial for cellular energy production and normal function of your nervous system.†  Super B-Complex formula contains all eight B vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, biotin, folic acid and vitamin B12) as well as vitamin C.*

What are B vitamins and what do they do?

B vitamins are water-soluble nutrients that have established required roles in cellular energy production, which is a complex process.  B vitamins are mandatory cofactors at various stages of carbohydrate, protein, and fat metabolism in the cells of your body.  Ultimately, metabolism of food leads to cellular energy release in the form of ATP, which is then used to fuel your body's many chemical reactions.1   Not only utilized as substrates in cellular metabolism, B vitamins are important for healthy nervous system function.†

What are the benefits of taking a B complex supplement?

B complex supplements address potential nutrient gaps in your diet to help support cellular energy processes and nervous system function.  Vitamins B6 and B12 are also important for proper red blood cell formation. Research studies have shown that individuals eating vegetarian or vegan diets, who have malabsorption conditions, or who may otherwise have increased need for B12 and/or other B vitamins should consider taking a B complex supplement to support their health.1 ,2

All eight B vitamins are found in a variety of foods. Fortified cereal is a good source of several B vitamins, including riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6 and folic acid. Whole grain cereals, lean pork, nuts and legumes are all good sources of thiamin. Avocado, fish and broccoli are good sources of pantothenic acid. In addition to fortified cereal, folic acid can also be found in green leafy vegetables and citrus fruit juices.
