Midsoles made from synthetic rubber and/or plastic actually bleedplasticizer and coalescence, which over time react with the naturalalkaline in soils and turn the sole yellow. UV rays can acceleratethis process.

JM Repel creates a durable,breathable barrier that effectively repels liquids and stains.Repel's water-based formula is safe to use on allmaterials including (but not limited to) suede, nubuck, leather,nylon and canvas.
Is Repel harmful to me or the environment?
How do I apply Repel?
The material shouldbe clean and dry prior to application. Hold bottle upright 6u2033 to 8u201dfrom shoe, spray evenly covering the entire area of the shoe.Do not oversaturate. Use a cloth to dab and soakup any excess product. Allow to completely dry/cure for24 hours or more. After the first coat has dried, repeatsteps and apply a second coat. Before exposing to liquid, make sureshoes have completely dried.
Tip: The longer you allow Repel to cure, thestronger the repellency.
What shoes can I use Repelon?
UseRepel on absorbent materials like, suede, nubuck andcanvas. Leathers that are sealed or have polishes on them(i.e. patent leather) are essentially already waterproof. If Repelis accidentally applied to these types of materials, simply wipeclean with a cloth before it dries.
How long does Repel last?
Repel generallylasts 4-6 weeks. Longevity will vary depending on the amount ofexposure to the elements. The best way to testthe effectiveness of the Repel is to take a few drops of waterand observe how well the water beads and rolls off of theshoe. If reapplication is needed, we suggest cleaning yourshoes with our Premium Shoe Cleaner, allow to fully dry and toreapply Repel following the directions on thebottle.
