Colour : Dark cherry/purple with lighter brick-red edges.

Nose : Starts out with subtle sour cherry notes, opens up to wild plum, prune and a hint of bright raspberry. Underneath there are layers of lightly-smoked and slightly-minty meats.

Palate : This is a medium-weight wine, and while it is not fruit-forward, there are bright and lifted red raspberry and cherry flavours within a nice line of subtle earthy and tarry notes. The impact of the 15% whole-bunch ferment is evident through the subtle, grippy tannin and hints of green peppercorn and star anise spiciness.
