Add more clay or liquid as needed. Apply 1/4 to 1/2 inch layer to the face or other area. Let it dry for 5-10 min. for delicate skin and 15-20 min. for normal skin. You will feel a pulling and tightening sensation.

Remove clay by washing with warm water. Slight redness of the skin is normal and will disappear in about 30 min.

Moisturizing Aztec Secret Healing Clay Recipe for Hair

This is a recipe I’ve been using on my hair for 2 years and it works wonders.

• Pour 3 heaped tablespoons of Aztec Secret Healing Clay in a plastic bowl.
• Add in hot water and start mixing until it’s a smooth, creamy consistency. You can add more hot water if you prefer a thinner consistency, which is best when you intend to use it as a shampoo.
• Add in 2 tablespoons of either grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil. Use a whisk for easier mixing.
• Add in ¼ – ½ teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Whisk until you’re satisfied with the consistency.
• Wait until cool then pour into an applicator bottle or a large plastic bottle if you plan to use over a few days. Below is a mix I use. I’ve combined 2 different types of clay here. My hair really liked this.

We have all seen the green clay masks, and we have all heard the pulsating claims. It is one of the most raved about deep cleansing clay mask in the beauty community.

WHAT IT CLAIMS
When a facial or clay poultice is applied to the skin it forms a negative charge. HOW TO USE

1. Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat dry. Mix clay with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar and/or water. It is best to use a glass, pottery or wooden bowl; do not use a metal bowl or utensil. Stir the mixture well to a smooth paste.

2. Once you have your mask "paste," apply it in about an 1/8- to a 1/4-inch-thick slab on your face. Don't put it on too thinly or it won't work as well.

3. Moving your face can be uncomfortable, so do your best not to talk or smile. You will feel your face tingle a bit and you might experience a mild burning sensation. Your face will also pulsate. Really. It says so on the jar. Let it dry for 5 - 10 minutes for delicate skin and 15 - 20 minutes for normal skin. 15-30 minutes for oily skin.Let the mask dry for 15 minutes and draw out impurities for another 15 minutes or so, for a total of 30 minutes.. The jar of clay states that you can even leave it on for five minutes, so it's entirely up to you and what you think is best for your skin.

4. Once dry, wash it off with warm water. It'll take a little work to get it off, but trust me, it will wash away. If your skin is sensitive, restrain your urge to pick the dried hunks of mask off. Slight redness of the skin is completely normal and will disappear in about 30 minutes.

DOES IT WORKS? MY THOUGHTS

 The Aztec Secret clay deep cleanses the skin fabulously and, if used regularly, keeps breakouts in check. This is hands down my all time favorite mask! I use this once a week and it's helped in overall improving my skin. After removing the mask my skin feels clean but still hydrated, refreshed, soft and brighter.  My face is quite red for the next 30 minutes or so after washing off, but the redness fades, revealing soft, smooth, glowing skin. It's also fabulous as a spot treatment.  Best of all, it is all natural, ridiculously simple to make, and incredibly inexpensive.especially for the amount of product given.

Step by Step Guide

 

Measure out a tablespoon of clay

Place into your non metal bowl.

Measure out a spoonful of Apple Cider Vinegar

Add the Apple cider Vinegar to the clay. It will start to froth and sizzle.

Stir them together using a non metal spatula or spoon to make a paste!

You're aiming for cake batter consistency, so add a little extra clay or vinegar as required. This batch took around 1.5 vinegar to make a nice consistency (pictured) that is suitable for brushing. 

Brush the clay/vinegar mix onto your face. Be careful not to go too close to your eyes or lips as it may sting and cause watering around the eyes due to the vinegar. Aim for around 1/4 or 1/2 an inch thick.

My Final Thoughts

I love this product. Love it. I notice a difference almost straight away after using it. All the pesky sebaceous filaments on my nose seem to vanish and if there are any black/white heads on my skin they often come to a head and extract straight away. I really do rate this product and i'm going to carry on using it. I've noticed my skin has become clearer by using it once a week and i'm not going to be stopping any time soon. So if you're looking for a new face mask or fancy pampering yourself at home, have a look into Aztec Secret because I think it's worth every penny.
