Coconut Oil Fractionated

Fractionated coconut oil contains only the medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) of coconut oil, making it a fluid and very stable oil. It is produced through the hydrolysis of coconut oil and is then fractionated by steam distillation to isolate the MCTs. Fractionated coconut oil has indefinite shelf life and is a light, non-greasy, non-staining, liquid oil. It is a good choice for use in massage, skin care, bath oil and soap formulations. Fractionated coconut oil is also a useful carrier oil within aromatherapy applications as it helps to carry therapeutic oils under the skin. Fractionated coconut oil is especially useful in facial creams and formulations that benefit from the inclusion of a lighter oil. It is a good substitute for sweet almond oil if you are worried about rancidity or a short shelf life. An ideal product for natural perfumers who don't want to use alcohol as a carrier. Because its the lightest of all the carrier oils, it will spray through a pump sprayer with ease. So to make your personal perfume, just add any essential oil or fragrance oil to FCO and shake well. FCO is colorless and odourless.

Benefits of Coconut Oil

  • Moisturizes dry hair
  • Improve tanning (does not contain sunscreen)
  • Smoothes skin

E.M.U Oil AEA Certified

Our E.M.U oil is now refined using the state of the art molecular distillation process, making it the purest and safest available.

The aborigines of Australia have long known (over 1000 years) what the rest of the world is just beginning to realize in the last decade or so... E.M.U Oil can help ease pain, aching muscles, sore joints, swelling, inflammation, burns, headache pain and various other problems. E.M.U oil is approximately 70% unsaturated fatty acids. The largest component is oleic acid – a mono-unsaturated fatty acid, it also contains about 20% linoleic (Omega 6) acid and 1-2% linolenic (Omega 3) acid. It is an effective anti-inflammatory. The potency of the anti-inflammatory effect is similar to ibuprofen without the negative side-affects frequently common with traditional prescription or corticosteroid based anti-inflammatory medications.

E.M.U Oil is a healthy, complex, topical oil, which contains a natural anti-inflammatory. It is trans-dermal and a natural emollient. In addition to reducing swelling and stiffness in joints, it can reduce bruising and muscle pain. Both professional sports trainers and players recognize the benefits. As an additional benefit reports are indicating that it can help combat the effects of the aging process and research has shown that it can thicken the skin, which in turn can reduce the appearance of aging.

Since this product has no aroma and does not clog pores, it is highly moisturizing, and a natural skin softener with rejuvenating properties (it has been shown to reduce the depth and length of fine lines & wrinkles ). It is also non greasy and highly penetrating and has been demonstrated to be the fastest and most penetrating carrier into the skin, making it an excellent trans-dermal carrier for any other added moisturizers or therapeutic ingredients.

ACNE

Mix 1 to 3% of essential oil (tea tree, cedarwood, rosemary) to E.M.U oil and rub on affected area.

HAIR LOSS

We recommend massaging a small amount of E.M.U oil into the hairless or thinning area of the scalp three times per day, if possible. In the evening or on weekends, apply a greater amount of E.M.U oil to the scalp and leave on for 20-30 minutes, then wash hair with a mild shampoo. If your hair follicles were in a sleep state, you should notice signs of regrowth in 30-90 days.

ECZEMA

Eczema suffers often complain that moisturisers available on the market irritate the skin. Recent reports indicate that E.M.U oil can provide significant reductions of irritation and inflammation of the skin. It makes an excellent follow-up to steroid treatment.

KELOIDS

Massaging E.M.U Oil twice daily appears to significantly reduce keloid scarring and helps prevent the formation of keloid tissue.

BURNS

The use of E.M.U Oil on early blistering of burns appears to promote faster healing with less scars and pain.

DONOR SITES IN SKIN GRAFTING

The donor site after skin grafting appears to benefit from the application of E.M.U Oil again reducing pain and scarring.

JOINTS

Pain, swelling and stiffness of joints close to the skin surface such as hands, feet and elbows have responded to E.M.U oil when massaged two to three times a day. A home made compress of the oil, (e.g. a piece of cloth or a few tissues soaked in the oil and wrapped around the joint over night) has been reported to be very effective.

GROWING PAINS

Children with growing pains? Massage E.M.U oil into the affected area before going to sleep.

BRUISING AND MUSCLE PAIN

E.M.U Oil appears to provide significant benefit to recent bruising and muscle pain where injury is relatively superficial. Use the massage and compress combination. Sports related muscle pains can benefit with a post-exercise E.M.U oil massage.

RECENT WOUNDS

E.M.U Oil applied to epithelialised wounds appears to reduce scar tissue formation. The anti-inflammatory action seems to soothe wounds after surgery. E.M.U Oil in its pure state has been tested not to grow organisms. It is safe to use on any open area. It can significantly speed up the healing process and reduce scarring.

ANIMAL USE

Vitamin E Natural, Tocotrienols - 25%

Tocotrienols – 25% is a natural Vitamin E derived from Palm Fruit Oil. Tocotrienols contain Alpha-Tocopherols and Alpha-, Beta, Gamma-, and Delta-Tocotrienols. These compounds yield a minimum of 25% total Tocopherols and Tocotrienols in this variation of naturally derived Vitamin E.

The color of our Tocotrienols – 25% has recently changed to a medium to dark reddish orange color due to a natural variation in the raw material and improvements in the manufacturing process.

This natural source of Vitamin E is odorless, an ideal attribute for an ingredient used throughout the food industry. Tocotrienols have higher antioxidant activity than an equal concentration of Tocopherols. Tocotrienols – 25% are widely used as a preservative throughout the food industry and also used in various skin creams for possible aging and discoloration benefits.

The IU activity for Tocotrienols – 25% is estimated at 150.33 IU per gram.

Vitamin E is well-known for its multi-usage benefit for the past decades. It is an antioxidant with healing and reparative properties, that help to prevent skin ageing and certain cancers. Recent studies, however, have found that tocotrienol, a more potent form of vitamin E that occurs in certain plant seeds such as oil palm, exhibit superior antioxidation activity compared to the common form of vitamin E, tocopherol.

Tocotrienol provides skin health benefits that go beyond its established antioxidation properties.

In addition to its ability to penetrate the skin’s deepest layers and neutralize the damaging effects of UV-induced free radicals, tocotrienol acts on key proteins within skin cancer cells to induce cell death and to help prevent cancer cell growth.

Tocotrienol reduces water loss from the skin and strengthens the skin’s barrier function. Either singly or in combination with other ingredients, tocotrienol improves efficacy in skin hydration.

Excellent antioxidation properties of up to 60 times greater than tocopherol confer tocotrienol the ability to help protect the skin from ageing and UV-induced damage caused by constant and prolonged sun exposure.

Skin ageing comes with normal ageing and commonly presents as fine wrinkling and laxity of the skin while sun-damaged skin is associated with increased skin pigmentation, discolorations and deep wrinkles. Fibroblasts are cells commonly found in the skin, bones and other tissues in the body. When left unchecked, the effects of oxidative stress can repeatedly induce DNA damage in these cells contributing to the effects of cellular ageing. Skin Repair Tocotrienol triggers the movement of cells called fibroblasts su.ggesting tocotrienol’s potential role in skin repair and wound healing.
