Pre-wash your body Use your favourite body wash, clay or black soap to thoroughly coat your body, before rinsing it off in warm water. This is vitally important to soften the skin and prepare it for the removal of the dead skin cell layer. Steam the skin The Kessa Exfoliating Bath Glove works best when the skin is soft and moist. It is important to enjoy your warm shower for 10-15 minutes before use, to allow the steam to adequately soften even the hardest areas of skin on your body. Consider waiting until you can tangibly notice the moisture on your knees and elbows. Prepare the glove Before use, you need to dampen the glove with warm water. Do this by running it under the shower, but then gently squeeze the glove to remove any excess moisture. Be careful not to twist the glove or squeeze it too hard, as this may cause it to wrinkle, making the exfoliation less effective. Step out of the shower You should never use the kessa glove whilst standing under running water. The running water is more likely to make your skin slippery, making it less likely to be gripped and exfoliated completely. You can stay in the vicinity of the steam, however, so there is no need to completely remove yourself from the shower cubicle - just as long as you're not still under the running water. Exfoliate Begin to gently exfoliate the skin with your kessa glove, making sure that you cover every inch of your body. You may choose to employ black soap or Moroccan clay at this point. If this is your first time exfoliating this way, you may be alarmed by the sheets of dead skin as they roll off your body. This is normal, so there is no need to worry. Be cautious not to scrub too vigorously, as harsh scrubbing may lead to bruises and abrasions on the skin. Exfoliate the face (optional) Rinse.
