Capable of automatically adjusting its settings to be optimized for a variety of recording scenarios, the Voice Tracer 4000 Digital Recorder from Philips features the company's AutoAdjust+ technology, which analyzes your incoming audio signal and adjusts the recorder accordingly. It is capable of recording in either PCM or MP3 formats, and features dual stereo microphones designed with a high recording sensitivity to reduce distortion. You can record to the Voice Tracer 4000's internal 4GB memory, or expand its recording capabilities via its microSDHC memory expansion slot.
The recorder provides you with a 28mm integrated speaker for playback, in addition to a 3.5mm headphone jack. Use of an optional external microphone is possible thanks to its 3.5mm stereo microphone input. Plug-and-play operation with Windows, Mac, and Linux computers allows you to simply connect the device via its USB port to transfer files.
