About Luwak: Luwak are native to South East Asia, especially Indonesia. They normally inhabit primary forests with some occupying selected logged forests. Our civets are neither farmed nor caged. They are free to move in the wild of Sumatra Island.

These little mammals live in the trees and one of their favorite foods is the red, ripe coffee fruit that surrounds the coffee bean.

While the bean is in the luwak's stomach, it undergoes chemical treatment and fermentation. The bean finishes its journey through the digestive system, and exits subtly changed.

 

Our Process: The still-intact beans from luwak is collected from the forest floor, cleaned, roasted and ground, just like any other coffee. We Grind our coffee with high quality, Italian coffee grinders, so the texture is very Soft.
