The Spiker 1210 is probably the first bike light with Light Sensing. Its thermal management is top of the line. It hardly runs hot considering its respectable output. Run time is fantastic at over 3.3 hours at maximum output. Light Sensing is on mode 3 and is an automatic mode which senses surrounding light and adjust brightness accordingly. It works like this: if surrounding ambient is 0 lux, output is at 100%. 10-20 lux ambient = 80%, 20-30 = 60%, 30-40 lux = 40% and finally 40-50% lux = 20%.
