■ Proprietary triple balanced armature driver unit

Three newly developed small drivers that introduced Sony's original technology (full range + woofer + tweeter).

The high sensitivity, high resolution driver unit realizes vibrant and fine treble in addition to the elongated vocal and powerful deep bass.

■ Features of Sony's balanced armature driver unit

It adopts a proprietary flat-shaped air duct structure rather than the narrow pipe-like air duct structure adopted in the conventional BA driver unit.

This ensures a wide sound path from the diaphragm to the eardrum, removes the resonance in the duct, widening the frequency band, enabling music reproduction with wide bandwidth extension.

■ High sound quality PCOCC code adopted

The PCOCC code is adopted which stretches the crystal grain in the signal transmission direction and eliminates the grain boundary which traverses the transmission direction to obtain excellent signal transmission characteristics.

Suppress transmission loss, suppress deterioration of sound, achieve clear high sound quality.

■ Double layered housing that suppresses unnecessary vibration

The inner housing adopts high quality liquid crystal polymer which is high internal loss and high rigidity material, and the outer housing adopt damping ABS material which suppresses the resonance in the housing.

By fixing the unit with a double structure housing of different materials of inner and outer, we realize a clear mid-to-high sound with little distortion (strain).

■ Noise block structure to cut external environmental noise and reduce sound leakage

Sound leakage is reduced by approximately 90% (*) due to the housing structure with high sound insulation, with very small hole to take in outside air.

Adopted hybrid earpiece combining two kinds of hardness silicon.
