It's thick, absorbant, and soft. It doesn't hold on to the cat fur too much. But I did find the picture didn't represent the color very accurately. It's called burgandy, looks red in the picture, and looks mauve in my bathroom. Looked again for it and it was no longer available. Searched on Walmart's site and found this Memory Foam Bath Rug Runner. Received it on Monday, 10/12/2015. It is VERY well made, beautiful white color, oh so soft and nice to stand on. Actually use it in front of our kitchen sink. Also purchased the same rug for my daughter-in-law for her BD. She selected the medium gray color and was thrilled with everything about it. We both would highly recommend this purchase to anyone looking for an extremely beautiful nice and well made runner. So using it anywhere in the house works!!! Anyways the "memory foam" didn't last after one wash the springy plushness of the "memory foam" was diminished.
