The material is very thin and the blanket its self is full of cotton fluff. The color is an odd shade of black. Its not as dark black as the picture shows. The blanket and the sham are the same color. The sham is a type that opens in the middle allowing you to fit the pillow inside. I like the pillowcase i just wish it were a darker black. Im on the fence of returning the set but i think i will end up keeping it. I bought a sheet set as well a bed skirt. These were not in a set and just happened to be the exact same colors. So today when i opened my blanket and sham set and found the colors did not match i was disappointed. This is not Walmart fault i just expected it to be a darker black. I wouldn't recommend a friend to buy this but its nothing personal. The sizing is correct and it will fit twin mattresses. So what did it for me to give this item a 3/5 was the color... I just wish it was darker as pictured. Overall i do think i will end up keeping the blanket. Its not too heavy or too light. So soft and it looks great with my teal sheets with the black comforter. I'm very pleased with it.
