The original chocolate flavor offered with the protein by the same company tastes better and not so chemically engineered. It's a little early to know whether it's adding mass or not. I have tried both the chocolate and vanilla which is my altime favorite. This mixes like no other powders I have seen. And I have tried dozens of brands. 2 full scoops in my shaker cup with milk and in 30 seconds its completely dissolved. The taste is great as well. As if im drinking a snack. I highly recommend this.
