The Equinox is an excellent value in a clincher tire. It has durable dual compound tread, available with or without puncture protection and in folding or steel beads. The center compound has a harder durometer to resist wear and roll efficiently. The side or cornering compound has a softer durometer to grip better and hang on in the corners. The reinforcement option provides more puncture protection. Aramid (folding) beads offer a lighter option. Steel beads without casing reinforcement offer the best value possible in this model.
