The KCL360E, Kay Deluxe Single Cutaway Nylon-String acoustic-electric guitar, has traditional designs but with modern style cutaway allowing full fingerboard access. This is a great value for a classical guitar that can be played with or without an amplifier. Perfect for quiet intimate performance or plug it in to fill the house with full, bright and booming controlled volume. The built-in active 3 bands graphic equalizer, more commonly known as an EQ does not require a preamp, as do most passive EQ’s. The controls are on the upper side of the right bout and have a convenient 9-volt battery compartment (incorporated in the control panel). The 3 sliding EQ controls allow for changing the frequency response, or tone, of a sound, song, or instrument. The EQ has a Bass Middle and Treble sliding controls, which are used to give more bass, less bass, more treble or middle, etc. to get that perfect sound. A high quality piezo pickup is inconspicuously mounted in the bridge under the saddle to give the nylon strings full fidelity volume and tone responsiveness. The Single Cutaway Classic High Gloss finish that features include a hand selected book matched spruce top, Sapele wood is used for the back and sides because it has characteristics similar to Mahogany but adds powerful midrange, great punch and bright and airy trebles. The neck is solid mahogany with a bound rosewood fingerboard, fan bracing, slotted headstock, Rosewood Bridge with synthetic bone saddle, ?has an Intricate inlaid wood marquetry rosette and gold machine tuning machines with pearloid buttons. ?? Modern touches include 19 German Nickel Silver Flat Frets with 14th fret neck/body joint for full fingerboard access, standard 2'' (50.8 mm) synthetic bone nut width, 5 ply black and white purfling (binding) on the top, 2 ply antique bound back and bottom, with 5 ply antique inlay in the center of the back.
