To open the bottle, you first should twist the cap in the direction that is shown by the arrow on the cap, and then you remove the top small round piece of plastic.
Once you open the bottle the color of the serum changes from clear to milky white. The product feels like a water - very runny. The scent is nice - it's combining vanilla, cedar and jasmine. The scent isn't annoying and doesn't cause headache.
Even though the texture of the product is like water, this is a real mighty serum and a little goes a long way! I use this once every week or two on the lengths and ends of my hair and the results are always great - it smooths and softens the hair, adds shine and eliminates frizz, and even the most fried and dry ends of the hair look moisturized and nourished. It works better with a blow dryer to my taste. It also can be easily over applied due to its watery texture and then it makes the hair look greasy. Just remember - you only need a little of this per use ^_^
