Ideal for the care of brittle, fine hair that lacks volume. In small quantities, the powder can be used as a fixative for herbal hair colors, like black henna. It can also mitigate the color intensity of coloring powders.
Christ's Thorn powder can be well used as an alternative to Senna italica, the neutral henna, to give hair luminosity. However, the results obtained from using Christ's Thorn are not as intense; the hair color does not change (during the prolonged use of Senna italica, hair color can be made darker).
Application: Like all plant applications, the powder should be mixed with hot water in a bowl (preferably non-metallic), stirring with a spoon to create a fine paste. Apply evenly to the washed, still slightly damp hair, then cover with cling wrap and leave on for 20 to 30 minutes. Finally, rinse thoroughly with water.
