Differences between Kindle 8 and Kindle Paperwhite
The main differences are: The Paperwhite has a higher resolution than the Kindle 8th Gen and an adjustable Built-in Light (Backlight) which the Kindle 8 does not have. Both Devices have Touchscreen.
What is With Ads and no Ads?
With Ads (special offers) means that there are ads on the screensaver and at the bottom part of the Kindle’s homescreen, but these do not interrupt the user’s reading in any way as the ads do not appear on the ebooks during reading.
Some might not like the ads on the home screen at the bottom, but on the other hand, many appreciate the discounts and special offers on Kindle e-books and accessories, as well as on other products, such as clothing and electronics sold through Amazon. The special offers appear as screensavers and on a small bar at the bottom of the Home screen.
There is no advert pop up when reading eBooks on the Kindle Paperwhite.
Is there a Warranty?
Once you register the Kindle device with Amazon, there will be a Minimum Six Months Warranty provided by Amazon.

ValueBest Asia Warranty Terms and Conditions For All Kindle Devices1. For these Refurbished and Display Sets, ValueBest Asia will provide local shop warranty for Amzaon Kindle E-Reader for the 3 Months.
We will be sending it for Repair and the Total Time taken will be approximately one month.
2. Please note that Valuebest Asia will not be liable for any consequential and incidental damages related to this product. This limited warranty does not cover any damages/losses that are caused by abuse, negligence, third party repairs, misuse, or an act of God.
3. Only manufacturer defects are eligible for warranty, user-caused defects such as dropping of product, water damage, wear and tear, etc are not eligible for warranty.
4. For dead pixels and shadows, our 7 days exchange policy is only valid if there are more than 3 dead pixels, no exchange for shadows unless very serious (darker than text and more than 5cm by 5cm in area, final decision by ValueBest Asia). Different batches may have different shades of white for the screen. Not all batches have the same shade. No exchange will be given for such cases.
5. Product returned must be in original packaging with all the accessories.
6. For the local shop warranty, the buyer will have to cover the return postage fee to us while ValueBest Asia will pay for the return postage to you.
It is best however to come and collect yourself in order to verify that the repaired device is in working condition.
