Pros
There are several pros for this unit. If you’re really dedicated to saving this space, this purifier can help you do that. Its compact size seems to be great for saving space. Many larger purifiers make it REALLY hard to save space – you won’t have that problem with this unit.
When compared to some of the larger models, this unit is pretty quiet. Depending on whether or not you like to sleep with white noise, this unit may or may not be a good choice. However, you can always run this unit on a lower setting if you want to keep it running in your bedroom while you sleep.
I like that this unit has a light that indicates when the filter needs to be cleaned. For those of us who can’t be bothered to constantly check the filter, this little indicator light is a godsend. I think this air purifier is perfect if you’re on a budget.
I also think it’s great for someone who doesn’t want to be forced to constantly buy new replacement filters. This unit is especially useful in rooms that collect A LOT of dust because I’ve found it to be VERY good at catching pesky dust particles.
Cons
One of the issues with this product is that it vibrates while running. Depending on the exact location and surface you run this unit on, it might start moving slowly. It’s not always a problem, but if you buy this unit, you might want to consider placing it somewhere where there is plenty of surrounding surface space, so you don’t have to worry about it falling off the edge someday.
When running this purifier on the ‘high’ setting, it can be VERY loud, and some people have a problem with this. As always, whether or not noise is a problem is always subjective, so the noise from this unit might not matter for one individual while it’s a deal breaker for another.
It comes down to tolerance and where you plan to use the machine. Although this unit is advertised to have a permanent HEPA filter, it’s important to understand that, at some point, ALL HEPA filters must be replaced, even if they’re ‘permanent’. I won’t go into detail about that, and it’s not a big deal because it could be SEVERAL years before a ‘permanent’ filter must be replaced.
At the end of the day, this unit does what it’s supposed to do – improve air quality. It’s better for people on a budget or who want to save space.
