It has not helped my face at all, the beads in it don't scrub as well as it should. Also, on the bottle it claims "oil-free", but the moment you put it on your face, it feels like you poured oil all over your face. It has double-duty exfoliating powers, with ground-up apricot pits and salicylic acid. I have very sensitive/reactive skin, and manage to always have a few clogged-pore bumps hanging around my cheekbones and chin. I've used the minty [department store counter brand] exfoliating scrub for about a year and a half, and have sought out an alternative for the past 8 months or so because the price is ridiculous and the company tests on animals. This is the best alternative I've found. While the scrubby pit bits are a bit large, they're not painfully scratchy, and plentiful enough to actually be scrubby. This is a medicated scrub, but it's not irritating to me. I do try to keep it away from my angry nose area, but even the few times I've gotten it there, it's not a big deal. I use it on my chin/cheekbones every day, and on my forehead every other day. It's kept those gross clogged pores to a minimum, and has helped heal a spot on my cheek. This product is a great value by price and quality standards, and I'm happy to know, thanks to a call to Equate customer service, that Equate is cruelty free/does not test on animals, unlike the maker of the name-brand version of this product.Was this review helpful?Yes (8)No (1)ReportRegular equate blackhead scrub (not with apricots)5/25/2017Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews5/25/2017by IreneI recently just finished using the whole bottle of this scrub and I love it. I get minor break outs here and there but no more than 1 to 2 pimple. It keeps my face really clean and soft. My boyfriend always notices that my face is so soft after I use the scrub. I highly recommend this product. I have not used a skin cleaner in about 6 months so I decided to try out this cheaper brand because I'm broke and can't afford any face wash/scrub hence why I went for something cheap. Well, I started breaking out between my brows and around my lips! My face has been more oily as well! I'm going to be calling the number on the bottle to get my refund!
